Regulators
To help maintain your regulator in good condition all you need to do is soak it in clean fresh water for about an hour. When you soak your regulator make sure you loosen particles that are stuck to it and also work out the buttons on the equipment. After this let fresh water run over the equipment for a little while. It is very important not to let water enter the regulator at the first stage and hence you ought to connect it to a pressurized tank to prevent this. Towel dry or blow the dust cap before it goes into its place. Make sure the regulator is well dried and then store it in a place that is dry as well as cool. It needs to be away from heat, dust and fumes. For this purpose you can put the regulator in a clean plastic bag. Most importantly it is very necessary that you get your regulators serviced at least once a year.
Masks
Masks will have to be sprayed with fresh water. It has to be dried after use. You can store these masks in their original boxes and hence prevent it from getting in contact with black rubber so that it does not decolorize.
Tanks
Cylinders have to be wiped dry after it is rinsed in fresh water. Do not allow any water to accumulate outside the tank. Make sure it really is dry. Open the valve to let out any moisture which is inside. Regular inspection of compressed air cylinders is very important. Once in every five years the tanks ought to be hydrostatically checked. Also make sure the tanks are made to stand upright in a place that is dry and cool.
Fins
