Imagine Alaska Halibut fishing in Homer, probably the most consistent fishery in Alaska with the average sport caught fish is 20 to 30 pounds.  The limit is two halibut per day, one fish of any size and one fish smaller than 29 inches. State law requires that each person hook their own two fish.

You are excited to be with your best friends as they witness you hook into a nice Halibut. The only problem is one of your best friends misses the entire thing!
